Director of Community Building and Impact (NEW!)

UWDATS seeks strong candidates for the position of Director of Community Building and Impact.

We seek out a Director of Community Impact who will provide visionary leadership and strategic management to forward United Way’s work with nonprofit organizations and other community partners, including donors. Specific areas of responsibility include Community Impact development and oversight, strategy development in community investment, allocation evaluation and accountability.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Social work, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field. Preference would be to employ a candidate with experience working in nonprofits in the program management role.

Public Relations and Marketing Intern (Ongoing)

United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States is seeking a Public Relations and Marketing Intern to assist in enhancing the marketing effectiveness of the United Way and integrate interactive media into the overall business strategy. This individual will assist with development and oversight of the social media and digital initiatives, write press releases and assist with the development of presentation materials for various groups. Development and Grant Writing Intern (Ongoing)

United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States is seeking a Development and Grant Writing Intern to assist with our 2015-16 United Way Campaign. This individual will embrace the mission of the United Way. We are looking for an intelligent, outgoing, friendly, detail-oriented student who can assist with the daily coordination of our development activities. This individual will be able to assist with fundraising activities and funder research, grant application processing, grant writing, and tracking/reporting on upcoming grant deadlines and other duties as assigned.

Graphic Design Intern (Ongoing)

United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States is seeking a graphic design intern to assist in the development of a promotional campaign to help raise awareness of our mission. This individual must be prepared to design clear and engaging communications for print that align with the United Way brand identity guidelines. Preference will be given to applicants who have completed one year toward a graphic design degree and possess strong graphic design and proofing skills.
