Our community deserves to be healthy and strong. United Way's funding priorities include:

Access to physical and mental health care, strategies to live a healthy lifestyle to support mental or behavioral health, healthy eating and physical activity, education about violence prevention and healthy relationships, access to services for victims of disaster.

Mental Health Needs Assessment & ACES

Project HOPE, an initiative of hte Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, partnered with United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States to conduct a needs assessment that took a focused look at needs and barriers to economic opportunity in Dubuuqe. To select focus areas, 75 professionals were surveyd from a broad corss section of service providers. Mental health and child care services were overwhelmingly indentified as pressing needs. Adverse Childhood Experiences are incidents that harm social, cognitive and emotional functioning and dramatically upset the safe, nuturing environments children need to thrive. To learn more about ACES, please click here.
