Dignity, Fairness, and Belonging

Dignity, Fairness, and Belonging Organizational Statement

United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States (UWDATS) commits to promoting dignity, fairness, and belonging for the entire population it serves. UWDATS opposes and denounces any sort of discrimination and seeks to make overcoming social and economic disadvantages a priority. We prioritize identifying barriers that prevent individuals and communities from accessing opportunities, while also connecting them to the resources needed to support Community Resiliency, Financial Security, Healthy Communities and Youth Opportunities. We strive to embody fairness in our own procedures, processes, and distribution of resources. UWDATS recognizes that all individuals are entitled to dignity, fairness, a sense of belonging and the opportunity to reach their fullest potential. Those served by UWDATS and its community partners should be able to express, and have respect given to their distinct cultures, values, and norms.

United Way of Dubuque Area Tri-States is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to everyone being valued and respected. We value, champion and embrace broad representation in all aspects of UWDATS activities. Officers, board members, volunteers, and employees are prohibited from engaging in any conduct that discriminates on the basis of characteristics protected by local, state, or federal law.
